The San Antonio Area Foundation’s Legacy Scholarship has grown quickly into one of the nation’s largest college scholarship programs, funded by an anonymous benefactor. In 2025 the program granted $4.4 million to 110 students, helping make college more attainable for many juniors in Bexar and Webb counties. The Foundation’s goal is to narrow opportunity gaps by supporting students who need financial help to pursue higher education.
