During her time in college P.E.R.K. Consulting President, Andrena Sawyer , saw firsthand how easy it was for deserving students to lose out on good opportunities because of the lack of resources for international students. The NextGen Scholarship Fund was created for international students and non-citizens who come to the United States with hopes of obtaining higher education to create a better life for themselves and their families. It is a local (Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia) scholarship program that provides one annual award to a qualified and outstanding high school senior or a current college student at a two-year or four-year college. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be an international student or non-citizen enrolled in a US school. All applications must be filled out completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications are judged on merit and financial need. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded each Fall.

HOW TO APPLY

There will not be any scholarships awarded in 2020. Beginning February 1, 2023, our online application will be available for the award for the 2023-2024 academic year. It is advised that applicants gather all necessary information prior to starting. The application will close on March 31, 2023.  Applications cannot be saved, and must be completed in one sitting. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

GPA Requirement:

• minimum 3.0 GPA
• Class Year:
• College accepted high school seniors, current undergraduate students attending a 2 or 4 year college

Other Qualifications:

• Must be an international student or non-citizen
• Must currently reside in Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia OR must be accepted into a college or university that is in the Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia tri-state area
