Must be of Korean heritage (i.e., have a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, or be adopted from Korea).
Will be a full-time student at a school in one of the designated Eastern region states (Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia) during the 2023-2024 school year.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

KWVD Scholarship & Criteria
To be eligible, the applicant should meet the following requirements:
Be a direct descendant of a Korean-War Veteran who served in Korea from June 25, 1950–January 31, 1955 (Korean War Era, as designated by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs).
Be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2022-2023 academic year.
Attend a school located in the KASF Eastern Region: Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Your category depends on what your status will be during the 2023-2024 school year, as follows:
High School Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
Scholarships awarded based on achievement (not based on financial need).
High School Seniors With Plans To Attend College In 2023-2024 School Year
High School Seniors with plans to attend college in 2023-2024 school year.
College Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors
The school you are attending must be within the Eastern region.
You must be planning to attend a graduate or professional school in the Eastern region during the 2023-2024 school year. You must submit a letter of acceptance from the graduate or professional school.
