Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Dental Hygiene Students

The Procter & Gamble Company, in collaboration with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), is pleased to introduce the ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Dental Hygiene Students with an aspiration for academic careers. This scholarship program is designed to assist dental hygiene students who are seeking higher education beyond an associate degree and have a keen interest in academia.
Program Details
Every year, the ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarship for Dental Hygiene Students Pursuing Academic Careers is awarded to two deserving dental hygiene students. Each scholarship winner is granted a sum of $3,000.
Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled in a dental hygiene baccalaureate or graduate degree program at an institution that is a member of ADEA.
- Exhibit a strong dedication to pursuing an academic career in the field of dental hygiene.
- Hold an individual membership with ADEA.
- Both part-time and full-time students are eligible to apply.
- Ensure that your ADEA profile is up-to-date as your scholarship application will utilize this information. You can update your profile at adea.org/myadea.
- All participants or recipients of ADEA programs or scholarships must agree to adhere to the ADEA Code of Conduct for Meetings, Conferences, Events, and Virtual Communities, which can be found on the ADEA website.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit the following items by September 15, 2025, via the ADEA online application system:
- Academic transcripts from the applicant’s school registrar to confirm academic status.
- A personal narrative from the applicant outlining their experiences, influences, and decision-making process that reflects a strong commitment to becoming a faculty member in allied dental education.
- Two separate nomination and evaluation letters from faculty members discussing the applicant’s career objectives.
- A recommendation letter from the applicant’s dean, dental hygiene director, or equivalent.
Anonymous applicant data may be used to enhance ADEA scholarships and could be published. Identified information (e.g., biographies) of successful applicants will be published on the ADEA website, shared with your home institution, and may be used in ADEA promotional materials. By applying for this scholarship, you acknowledge and agree to these terms of use for your information.
Award Notification and Announcement
Applicants will be informed of the scholarship results by December 5, 2025.
The scholarship awards will be officially announced at the 2026 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, which will take place from March 21 to 24, 2026, in Montréal, Canada.
