One award in the amount of $3,500 will be given out to an undergraduate student from universities and colleges in Virginia.

Purpose of Award

The purpose of this award is to provide assistance to students pursuing a career in the water industry. This scholarship is awarded based on merit.

Eligibility

Full-time undergraduate student member of AWWA attending school in Virginia in the Fall 2024 semester, with a career goal of serving in the water industry.

Requirements

  1. A resume indicating your academic performance, work/research experience and extracurricular activities. (Extra consideration will be given to participation in VA AWWA committee activities.)
  2. Unofficial or official up-to-date transcript or semester schedule of school currently attending.
  3. A completed "VA AWWA Student Scholarship" application.
  4. Membership in the American Water Works Association.
  5. A maximum 500-word essay on a water topic of your choice (Extra consideration will be given to drinking water topics.
