Richmond-Metro Chapter Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by ISC2 Foundation
ELIGIBILITY:
A) Must currently be in high school.
B) Must live in the Richmond-Metro area which includes the cities of Richmond, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg; and the following counties: Hanover, Goochland, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan, Chesterfield, Charles City, Dinwiddie, Prince George and King William.
C) Must be planning on attending college or university within two years if awarded a scholarship.
D) Must be interested in studying in a field that includes a focus in cybersecurity, information assurance or similar.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A) Unofficial transcripts
B) One Letter of Recommendation
C) Essay (no more than two pages and should be double-spaced)
D) Describe what makes you stand out from other applicants, and why you should be chosen to receive this (ISC)2 Richmond-Metro Scholarship.
E) Describe your personal and education backgrounds.
F) Describe what attracted you to the field of cybersecurity.
G) Describe your goals for your academic career and in your professional career.
H) Describe why you need this scholarship.
I) Describe hobbies or extracurricular activities and what they mean to you.
SCORING CRITERIA
Applicants will be scored by members of the (ISC)2 Metro Chapter. Scoring will be based upon three categories:
1. Passion
2. Merit
