Rise Above Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Silberman & Lam LLP
Being part of a team striving towards a shared objective is an exhilarating experience. Employment within a reputable organization fosters crucial values and promotes both social and professional growth. At Silberman & Lam LLP, we champion the rights of the average worker. Our firm specializes in Workers’ Compensation law, adept at pinpointing situations where employers exploit their employees. Regrettably, many individuals are not aware of their rights as employees, which allows supervisors or executives to misuse their work and time.
Consequently, we established the Rise Above Scholarship to gather insights from students nationwide about any comparable experiences that have shaped them. As a firm dealing with workers’ compensation, we anticipate this scholarship will foster meaningful conversations among students, empowering them as employees. We invite individuals to recount an instance when they were exploited as employees, interns, or team members. How did this experience influence your professional interactions with those involved? Has this experience enabled you to identify potential red flags in your current or future employment? How did a challenging professional situation eventually become a positive one, and what lessons did you glean from it?
