Better Business Bureau Serving Western VA (BBB) promotes integrity and ethics in the marketplace through voluntary business self-regulation. The 22nd Annual Student of Integrity Scholarship Awards honor high school seniors from our 32-county service area who personify ethics through leadership, community service, and actions.
How It Works
Scholarships in the 22nd Annual Student of Integrity Scholarship competition are awarded directly to the recipients to apply toward college tuition or post-secondary education expenses. Recipients are required to enroll in an accredited university, college, or trade school following high school graduation, and attend the Student of Integirty Awards Ceremony to recieve their scholarship.
Scholarship award amount: $1,500.
Local High School Senior
Applicants must attend a high school in our 32-county service area. Application is also available to homeschooled students.
3.0+ G.P.A.
Essay-based applicants must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) to apply.
Present At Award Ceremony
Recipients must be present for the scholarship award.
Application Scoring Criteria
There are three primary sections students will be evaluated on during the review process.
Essay Writing: 40%
- Clear and concise writing that presents an ethical dilemma and answers the essay prompt.
Extracurricular Activities: 30%
- Highlight your commitment to a job, community service, volunteer work, organization, sports team, or club activity.
Leadership Roles: 30%
- Explain the leadership position you held during your extracurricular activities and beyond.
