Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Iowa Concrete Paving Association
The ICPA Executive Committee annually determines the scholarship amount for students at ISU and U of I majoring in Civil or Construction Engineering, and Construction Management at UNI. These scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved sophomore status or higher. The awards are presented in February during the ICPA’s Annual Concrete Paving Workshop.
The 2025 Scholarship Program is proudly announced by the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA). This program is designed to support college students pursuing degrees related to the ready-mixed concrete and construction/engineering industries. The IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee will determine the scholarship amount each year. The scholarships will be presented in March 2025 at the IRMCA's Annual Convention.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS:
- Students with sophomore status or higher studying Civil or Construction Engineering at Iowa State University, University of Iowa, or Dordt University, or
- Students with sophomore status or higher pursuing a Construction Management degree at University of Northern Iowa, MNSU-Mankato, or UW-Platteville, or
- Iowa students seeking a Concrete Industry Management degree at South Dakota State University
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (For Students with immediate family members employed by an IRMCA Member):
- Students enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year higher education institution in Iowa, pursuing a degree in any field of study.
- Students who have achieved sophomore status or higher.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
- The IRMCA Scholarship/Educational Outreach Committee will select the scholarship recipients. The selection will be based on the applicant’s academic performance, financial need, relevance of study area to the industry, and other accomplishments and activities.
- While all eligible students will be considered, the Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association may prioritize applicants who are:
- Iowa residents
- Intending to live and work in Iowa post-graduation
- Family members of an IRMCA member company employee
- Have experience in the ready-mixed concrete industry
