WRITING TASK:
We're all aware of the appropriate response when we witness a peer being victimized by bullying. However, the harsh reality is that not everyone takes action.
Imagine this scenario: A group of friends are gathered at lunch, discussing a fellow student who is the target of bullying. The twist in the tale is that the bully is a member of their own circle of friends, who is absent that day.
The conversation takes a turn. Some express their disapproval of the bullying, while others are unsure. Should they voice their concerns? Should they extend a helping hand to the victim or report their friend, with whom they interact daily?
Opinions are divided. One friend believes it's not their responsibility to intervene. However, others feel a strong moral obligation that turning a blind eye is simply unacceptable.
YOUR TASK: Your challenge is to craft a script, spanning 2-4 pages, that captures this lunchtime dialogue. Why should they intervene? What's holding them back and how can they overcome these obstacles? Illustrate how these ordinary observers can transform into genuine advocates against bullying.
NOTE: To maintain a level playing field, kindly use 12 pt Times New Roman font with standard margins (1 inch) on your document. We appreciate your cooperation!
EVALUATION:
Scripts will be evaluated based on originality, emotional authenticity, and understanding of the topic of bullying and its repercussions.
We advise against using AI to generate your script based on our writing task. While it may seem like an easy way out, the lack of originality is evident. Scripts that are AI-generated often lack uniqueness and will score zero in the creativity department. We're interested in hearing your unique voice, your innovative ideas, and your heartfelt emotions. That's what makes your narrative truly distinctive!
