Enid Hall Griswold Memorial Scholarship

The Enid Hall Griswold Memorial Scholarship is a one-time financial award of $5,000, granted to two deserving college juniors or seniors studying at a recognized college or university in the United States. The recipients must be pursuing a major in political science, history, government, or economics.
Every year, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) provides numerous scholarships to students who are committed to advancing their education. The DAR offers scholarships to students who are pursuing studies in various fields such as history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science, and English.
The following eligibility requirements apply to all scholarship applicants:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or university.
- All multi-year scholarships, which can be renewed for up to four years, must be for consecutive years of study.
- Awards are granted based on academic achievement, dedication to the field of study, financial need, or other specific scholarship restrictions.
- Awards are deposited directly with the recipient’s college or university, and any unused funds must be returned to the DAR.
- Applicants can only receive one national scholarship from the DAR Scholarship Committee.
