NCWIT Award For Aspirations in Computing High School Awards
Scholarship Sponsored by National Center for Women in Technology
The NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) High School Award is a prestigious recognition given to students in grades 9 to 12 for their accomplishments and interests in the field of computing. The award aims to inspire these students to continue pursuing their passion in this area. The selection of award recipients is based on their demonstrated abilities and ambitions in technology and computing, as evidenced by their computing experience, involvement in computing-related activities, leadership roles, perseverance, and future goals. Since its inception in 2007, the AiC Award has been bestowed upon over 25,000 students.
The award system is multi-tiered, with designations such as Winner, Honorable Mention, and Rising Star at both National and Regional Affiliate levels. The program covers all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, all U.S. overseas military bases, and Canada. There are 79 locations nationwide that host Regional Affiliate Award programs.
