Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Department of Health Care Access and Information
The Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship Program (ADNSP) aims to boost the number of suitably trained nurses delivering direct patient care in a recognized facility within California.
The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) is committed to expanding and diversifying the healthcare workforce in California. They achieve this by offering scholarships and loan repayments to students and graduates of health professions who are engaged in direct patient care in various communities.
The ADNSP is financed through a $10 surcharge applied to the renewal and licensure fees of Registered Nurses (RN) in California. Eligible applicants who commit to a 12-month service obligation, providing direct patient care in an underserved community, can receive up to $8,000. The program's primary goal is to enhance the number of suitably trained Registered Nurses (RNs) delivering direct patient care in underserved or recognized facilities within California.
