Established in 2013, the scholarship is a testament to the law firm's dedication to supporting law students who require financial aid to realize their academic and career aspirations.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must either belong to an ethnic, racial, or other minority group, or have shown a commitment to diversity-related issues in their community.
The scholarship grants $2,000 to a single student, chosen by our scholarship selection committee.
Eligibility Criteria for the Law School Diversity Scholarship
The following requirements must be met by the applicants:
- The recipient should either be a member of an ethnic or racial minority or someone who has shown a clear commitment to diversity-related issues during their academic journey.
- The recipient should be a U.S. citizen who is currently enrolled in an accredited law school within the United States.
- The recipient should have a minimum GPA of 3.0, reflecting academic achievement, and should have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited law school.
Application Requirements for the Law School Diversity Scholarship
To apply for the Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. 2025 Law School Diversity Scholarship Program, an applicant must submit the following items by Oct. 1, 2025:
- A filled-out scholarship application form. (Located at the bottom of the page)
- A one-page typed essay detailing how you have spent your time promoting ethnic diversity within your community. Alternatively, you can write about how you plan to use your law degree to further ethnic diversity in the future.
- An official, certified copy of your law school transcript.
