Perseverance Scholarship

We invite students who have experienced a birth or childhood injury that has significantly impacted their lives to share their journey with us. We recognize the immense challenges that such injuries can pose, and we are eager to hear about your resilience and determination in overcoming these obstacles to pursue higher education. To be considered for this scholarship, we require you to submit an essay of 750-1,000 words detailing the challenges you've faced due to your injury and how you've surmounted these hurdles to be where you are today, on the path to earning a college degree.
Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must have endured a birth or childhood injury.
- The scholarship is available to any current or incoming student at an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning.
- Individuals employed by Gideon Asen LLC, their immediate family members, and those residing in the same household (regardless of relation), are ineligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
What Do You Need to Apply?
- A current resumé outlining your professional and academic experiences.
- An up-to-date official or unofficial academic transcript.
- An essay of 750-1,000 words responding to the following prompt: Describe how you've overcome the challenges posed by your birth/childhood injury to pursue higher education.
When and How to Apply
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit their essay, resumé, and transcript by December 31, 2025. All documents must be submitted in a format that is easily readable, with PDF being the preferred format. Applications received after the deadline will not be taken into account.
