Horticulture & Green Industry Scholarship

Introductory overview
The Rick Pankow Foundation supports students who plan to study in horticulture-related fields — including agriculture, arboriculture, landscape design and maintenance, nursery management, viticulture/viniculture, and other green-industry disciplines. In partnership with the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals (WALP) and the Future Farmers of America (FFA), the Foundation awards scholarships to qualified candidates.
Award information
Scholarship awards of up to $2,000 are available. Applications for the Rick Pankow Foundation scholarship are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Washington State high school seniors or adult learners.
- Candidates should be preparing to enroll in a two- or four-year program focused on horticulture, landscaping, viticulture, or another green-industry field.
Selection criteria
Scholarships are granted based on merit and/or financial need. Evaluation factors include academic performance, participation in industry, community and school activities, leadership experience, documented financial need, personal hardships, and references or recommendations.
